Tips for Privilege Assignment
Standard Privileges for Different File Types

For almost every file type, Chromeleon provides corresponding Privileges. They allow the user to:

Chromeleon provides all of these privileges for the following files:

Audit Trails

The user cannot create an Audit Trail. Thus, Chromeleon does not provide a Create Audit Trail privilege.

For GLP reasons, Audit Trails must not be modified. Therefore, it is only possible to rename them. To do so, the user must have the RenameAuditTrail privilege.

Samples

It is not possible to create samples on their own or to move them to a different sequence. Thus, no Create and Move privileges are available.

A user who has the ModifySEQ privilege can change samples that have not yet been processed at any time. Thus, for samples, a Modify privilege is only required for samples that have already been processed (ModifyFinishedSamples).

Signed Results

SOR Files are created by signing sequences. Authorization to sign sequences refers to the respective signature level (also, see Electronic Signature). Thus, Chromeleon does not provide a Create privilege for SOR files. The following Sign privileges are available, instead: SubmitResults, ReviewResults, and Approve Results.
